Next Up: Unbearable Lightness

Lyndsey has chosen Unbearable Lightness by Portia de Rossi (er, I think it's Degeneres now??) as our next book!  The very book that sparked this headline:

Should make for some very interesting discussion!  Let's get a thread started in the comments section about dates/times etc.

P.S. Once I get you're email...all new comments and posts should show up in your inbox! :)

I love celery and crushed ice!! Maybe we can take turns throwing it up afterwards?? Ehh?

I definitely think we should wait til January at least. I still need to get the book and procrastinate (like usual). :) But I am available all of January so far...

I'm open in January too!

Ok, everyone's signed up for email notification! :) So, Lynds, if you wanna throw around some specific dates we can figure out when we get to look forward to celery and crushed ice! ;)

The 29th is the last Saturday in January, that would give everyone the whole month to finish the book. Would you all rather do it on Friday or Saturday?

I like the sound of Friday the 28th, although I'm open to most weekendish days in late January.

I'm fine with Friday the 28th.

So what time are we starting this shindig?

Book club is this Friday! Hope everyone is enjoying the book. I thought people can start coming over to my place around 6. If this is too early let me know and we can push it back. I will be making black bean soup and a jello dessert (I figured you guys didn't want to eat tuna and spray butter for dinner). I will have some wine/beer, but feel free to bring anything else you might want. Let me know if you have any questions! See you all Friday!

Woot! Sounds awesome...finished the book this weekend and can't wait to chat about it!

Super-excited! But where is Lyndsey's house??

Haha, spray butter doesn't sound like the most super-delicious snack, I agree :)

Yay! I'm excited... I may have to re-read this... I'm not going to lie... I bought the book before Christmas and may or may not have stayed up until 4:00 in the morning to finish it... (on a day when I had to work at 8:00...) :)

My address is 864 S. Basswood Apt C. It is in the Forest Ridge complex off of 2nd St (Bloomfield Rd.) It is right across the street from Copper Beech (if you know where that is). Basswood is the road right before the exit to highway 37. If you are coming from town, turn right on Basswood and the complex is the first on the left.

Awesome. Great directuibs Lyndsey, thank you!

Do you need beverages (alcoholic or non) or anything else for Friday? :)

I don't need anything else unless someone really wants to bring something. I will have beer and wine. We also have a few no alcoholic selections. Thanks for asking though!
